Pretty little lady.

This is Irja.

We adopted her along with our other cat Anita at a cat shelter.
Irja too has had a rough past.
Her and her sister was clearly unwanted by their owners because whay they did is that they put the both off them in a cardboard-box, keep in mind that the cats were only a few months old, and they left the box at the side of the freeway in the coldest, snowiest winter.

Luckily, some one saw the box and decided to check it out and got them out of there, because just a few minutes after that the plow got there.
What had happened to little Irja and her sister if someone hadn't stop to check?

At the cat shelter, she was a very careful and shy cat and it didn't really feel like she trusted humans at all. We were happy if she came up to us even once during our 4 hour visits.
We fell in love with her though and wanted to help her become a normal cat again over the years.

Now we've had her for a year soon and she's very happy here. She follows us wherever we go.
